I dont think its needed. I think it makes it worse for TK since there are players who think they can hammer on you in the beginning without inflicting any damage and they dont believe you when you try to tell them it does.

Yes, there is a big negative about the spawn protection. If the person never moves but fires, it seems to stay on. Plus we've all had someone spawn right in front of us and we try to kill them for them to just turn around and kill you.
I would prefer we police the few that spawn kill and leave spawn protection off. |

yeah i think spawn protection should only be on for the deathmatch server.
when there's nothing left to burn .... you must set yourself on fire.

no u need it some maps or youll get shot in spawn before even moving it just needs to be 1 or 2 seconds

I can only think of two maps at this point that we play regularly that would most likely put you in that situation. fy_snow and sometimes funtimes (snow included). All the other maps that gets played puts the spawn usually behind a wall or something.
I really don't care one way or the other but I think it's caused me to die more than it has saved me. |
